Has anyone found a hair loss product that really works?
l’ve lost probably a third of my hair, maybe more, due to stress and illness. It’s making me stress even more.
Feeling miserable. I know in the scheme of things it’s not much with what’s going on in the world, but would appreciate any suggestions.

It sounds like you have a fair idea of what caused your hair loss? Is that under control now?

I had a patch of hair loss recently - apparently an immune/inflammatory response. My iron levels were also low but not thought to have caused the hair loss.
Not professing to have any answers but I did the following. I saw a dermatologist who prescribed antihistamines daily and cortisone gel. For the low ferritin I went for an iron infusion (ridiculously expensive but I wasn’t absorbing iron from tablets). To address the inflammation I started a course of probiotics (Symprove), and started drinking tart cherry juice & taking turmeric capsules. I also started hair/skin/nail vitamins. On top of that… I have minoxidil cream but I’m not really using it.

Fingers crossed you find something that works for you. It’s very distressing to suffer hair loss - and I think it’s also not something merely cosmetic or to be viewed in isolation. X

A blood test from the GP will rule out any treatable medical causes, like an underactive thyroid or iron deficiency.

I would suggest biotin supplements.

Hair loss is a tricky one. A dermatologist once told me that the best thing for it is to find a good hairdresser.

Good luck!
