Appendicitis recovery

Hi everyone. Can i ask for some advice for healing after abdominal surgery?
I had appendicitis 6 weeks ago which resulted in surgery. The surgeon found my appendix was rupturing and I ended up staying in hospital for 4 days to make sure I was drained of any nasty stuff.
Since then, I've had slight pain around the site of the appendix and still find it uncomfortable to go to the loo. It feels like there's a change in pressure as I'm going and I get all kinds of weird bubbling sensations and dull pain. Its definitely not as bad as it was and I just previously put it down to healing.
What's concerning me is I'm now on my period and feel like I'm really bloated and would feel better if I went for a number two. But its hurts just above my pubic bone if I try to push (sorry if tmi).
Is this normal? Am I just still healing? I'm trying not to overthink it but I've never had any major surgery and I feel silly trying to see the doctor if it's completely normal.

Hi, I had my appendix out 9 years ago (I was in my 40s). It was gangrenous, so I was told, and I was quite unwell afterwards and was kept in hospital for 9 days. I was constipated for a few days (until give prune juice in the hospital which sorted it).

As far as I can remember I was tender for a while (I had keyhole surgery) and I do remember a bit of a 'funny' feeling inside, in that area, when I was lying on my left side. None of your other symptoms ring any bells though.

I had a check-up with the consultant a few weeks after I was discharged, just to ensure all was well which it was. Do you have any follow up appointment scheduled? If not, might be worth getting checked out just to make sure all is healing as it should.
