Help - messed up nail - acrylics **pic warning**

I stupidly pulled my own acrylics nails off because they were bugging me.

My thumb has split all the way down, is paper thin and bled in the middle.

It feels throbby and I keep knocking it.

Is it best to leave it to the air? Better to cover? What can stop it getting infected please?

I can’t tell if all the acrylic is fully off because I can’t bare touching it as it’s so sore.

I'd probably stick some Savlon and a plaster on it.

I was also going to say Savlon and a plaster, that's my fix all for finger issues! Seems I am not original

Keep it clean and dry. Look online for nail rehab and or nail strengtheners. You CANT put it on now but you could use it on your nails from now on to prevent this happening again

I don’t seem to have Savlon or in fact ANY antiseptic creams or similar. So tonight will be a plaster only.
Tomorrow I’ll nip out to buy some.

I do have nail strengthener so will use that once it’s healed.

Even just watching tv I’m managing to knock or touch it grr.

How is it today ?

Still really sore ☹️ Doesn’t feel as bad though.
