What’s this lump on my hand (pic)

It appeared overnight about 8 years ago and was sore for months. Faded to a red spot which wasn’t raised or sore. Now overnight it’s gone white, really raised up and itching burning feeling which gets worse when I scratch it. Should I dig it out with a knife?

Looks like a wart - I am sure a pharmacist could advise.

Thanks. Think Dh has some wart stuff so I’ll put some on for now. It’s driving me crazy

Looks like a small cyst to me. I would be tempted to stick a sterelised needle in it and see if anything would squeeze out.
