Norovirus- symptoms lingering

I was wondering if this sounds like the Norovirus or something else?
My 2 and 4 year old came down with the bug, vomiting and diarrhoea for 3/4 days. Then my husband felt sick, mild fever and diarrhea for 2 days. 5 days ago, I developed mild fever, nausea and churning stomach, lasted 2 days, but diarrhoea only one day. Now, 5 days on, I still don't have my apatite back but my main symptoms are lots of trapped gas, gurgling stomach and a dull upper stomach ache. The constant gas and upper stomach pains don't seem typical of Norovirus infection. Has anyone else has this as after effects?

This sounds more like food poisoning
Perhaps you have all eaten a dodgy meal?

No, there was a confirmed outbreak of gastroenteritis in the kids nursery, so definitely that

I've recently had exactly the same symptoms as you. Took about 7/8 days to totally clear up.

@DdJames, do you know if what you had was a viral stomach bug? My family all seemed fully recovered after the diarrhea and vomiting/nausea ended, but I'm left with a bloated tummy, constant passing gas and upper stomach pain. Glad yours has cleared up!

It was two weeks before I started to feel normal after having it last month. A week for the nausea and diarrhea to pass, another week for the fatigue to go. I've never had it so severe.

No idea what I had I just assumed it was gastroenteritis. The lingering symptoms seemed like reasonable after effects so I didn't try and see anyone about it.

It may be worth having some probiotics to try to rebalance your gut flora.

I'll try some probiotic thanks, just hoping for less wind and no more of this dull stomach pain :(
