What test do I need for Candida?

I've been advised to get tested for Candida/ Candidiasis (also known as candida albicans). Not a vaginal yeast infection, rather to check if its in the small intestine/rest of the body. I live abroad and the only test available is a blood test (I think it's called LTT Candida test). Will the blood test be enough to detect Candida? I wondered if there are any other necessary tests, such as stool tests and so on.
PLEASE tell me your experiences with being diagnosed with Candida and how it works!

Thanks a million

Advised by whom? If your GP/doctor then surely they would arrange it.

Having a candida infection in your blood is rare (candidaemia) and usually only happens if you've got a really poor immune system and you'd be feeling very ill.
