Oesophageal Manometry

Anyone had one of these?
Just got a letter through to say I need one.
I’m feeling very anxious about it. Is it painful? Does it make you gag? Also got to wear a flexible ph tube for 24 hours.
I hate (as everyone does) having anything near my throat.
Please tell me it’s all fine x

I've had one. It's one of those things where the more you think about it when the tube is down, the worse it is. I tried to ignore it and just swallowed normally, kept my tongue still etc.

I have had a couple of gastroscopies which I can do with just the numbing spray though.
