What is this on my finger?!

does anyone have any thoughts on what this might be on my finger, right next to my nail? it's like a cluster of tiny dark dots deep in the skin, and usually hard skin over it. if i file the skin away you can see the dots more but it looks a lot better. the dry, hard skin comes back though.

I have a couple of warts, one on each hand. the wart on this hand is on the same finger and only 1cm away, so I thought it may be warty (lush).

Ive been treating the two warts and this patch of skin with bazuka but it doesn't seem to be shifting this bit.

photo attached shows bazuka attacking the skin around it but no improvement to the dots. it isn't normally wet looking, that's hand moisturiser!

any ideas?

That looks like a whitlow to me.

Ask a pharmacist. They will be able to advise you

Thanks both. I've got these on the back of that finger too. Didn't occur to me to go to a pharmacist, good idea. I'll go after work and hopefully get it sorted!

Looks like verruca dots so maybe a wart?

Dodie66 · 11/04/2022 11:16

I thought verruca too

LatteLady · 11/04/2022 11:20

Looks like a whitlow, I had one as a child, would suggest you see a pharmacist or your GP asap. I had to have my nail removed and that was singularly unpleasant.

Verruca

Black dots and hard skin suggest baby warts. I had this and just kept filing them every so often u til they didn’t come back. Never had them since.

Wart

Suggest you see a pharmacist for advice on topical treatments

Thanks everyone! Annoying that the bazuka isn't working on it but will keep filing it. Will probably try the pharmacist tomorrow to see what they suggest.
