uti - how long to start to feel better

Finally admitted defeat this morning after niggly back ache , darker hot wee etc despite drinking loads of water yesterday . gp tested and have blood traces in urine so on ab's for uti. Taken second dose and feel worse . How long before they take effect ?

At least 24 hrs - which ones did they give you.... trimethoprim?
needs to drink at least a glass of fluids every hour and also take reg pain killers, paracetamol or ibuprofen, keep cool, should be starting to feel a bit better tomorrow.

Thnak you , just got amoxycillin but have to ring for results of test on Friday in case need something else.

ok, yes amoxicillin is a broad spectrum anti biotic will be fine. hope you're feeling better soon.
