Could a sprained ankle cause limping or something else?

Hi,

I’ve had a few issues with being hypermobile, I’m under a podiatrist who has told me since last July she’d order x rays and mentioned twice maybe more but nothing. She keeps reviewing me but getting nowhere, I have further issues. My original issue was Achilles Tendonitis which I then went to podiatrist for then developed seamoid issue then plantar. Right now I have all three. I went on holiday and wore my insoles as normal which have been adjusted few times by podiatrist due to onset of other stuff, I don’t recall injuring my ankle but did do lots of walking on holiday. Then last few days I’ve developed this severe pain that when I walk (instantly) I am limping due to pain. Just in left foot when issues have always tended to be in right foot. I’ve not managed to rest which isn’t good, I know! And have kept walking on it. I think it’s from the front of the ankle or side on outer.

In the past my GP didn’t know what was wrong when she looked at my foot when it was ball of foot, said “oh that’s odd” turned out it was sesamoiditis, podiatrist keeps doing reviews and telling me to apply gel, do exercises which I have. Prior to ankle injury, if I rested if I exercised I couldn’t win! I’m unsure if there is another professional I could see even if privately? Would sports injury be best? Massage? :( i can stand without issue but its walking that’s the issue! I’m unsure if a sprain could even cause limp?
(The redness is from a gel I applied!)

Note: Not replacing for medical advice, will always seek professional but experiences would be helpful :)
