Lump in my vagina

Hey ho if I can't ask and embarrassing question on mumsnet where can I?!!

I have actually had a very very tiny lump just on the entrance to my vagina since I was about 18. After having my son 9 months ago it has grown in size and just in the last few weeks has become about the size of a marble. I don't feel able to have sex now.

I am due to see the doc a week on friday but can't go earlier as I'm a childminder and taking time off isn't easy.

I have 2 worries:

1. The doc will say it is nothing and do nothing, and I will be left with a ruddy great big lump in my fanny.

1. It will turn out to be cancer. Although I have never heard of cancer of the vagina i guess you can get it anywhere.

Anyone got any advice for me?
