DH (48) has been in pain (back, hip, legs) for a few weeks - thought it was sciatica
Has had physio and ended up at GP having blood tests / CT scan and now waiting for a full body bone scan appointment.

Blood Tests showed:
No trace of Vitamin D (how is that even possible? He is out walking the dog all the time)
Calcium levels are ok though

I shouldn't be googling this but are there any alternatives to the horror Google throws up Sad

He is in great pain - and has never been like this before

@mumofEandE if he's no trace of Vit D have they prescribed it? It must be very low and I know that you can get a lot of pain because of this. I think you need Vit C to help absorb the Vit D also. But please ask a professional about this, and he mustn't take anything without advice first.
The pains could be mechanical though, from the dog walking, so good he's got a scan booked. I have a chronic inflammatory pain condition, so might be able to help, what kind of pains are they?

Sport to hear you have a chronic condition - Yes he has been prescribed Vit D - he has to take it x2 a week as the blood test showed none(!) but his calcium is ok
