Quite an unpleasant suprise when I found out how much I really weighed....

Determined that I will lose weight as I want to have another baby and think that I need to lose some weight first!

Anyone doing Weightwatchers that wants to start a 'support' thread with me? Or are there any I can piggyback onto? x

there will probably one on the dieting section?

I joined about 14 weeks before Christmas and lost 36lb!!

I was so pleased

I go back tomorrow , first time after Xmas so am expecting to have put a bit on!

well done for going, it really does work if you stick to it

Also Tesco Healthy food is all pointed on the box for you, often cheaper than WW foods..

the toffee bars you can buy in class are gorgeous!!! But beware you eat them in 2 days lol

Twiglett · 08/01/2008 14:40

bloody hell anniebear that's good going

MarkStretch · 08/01/2008 14:41

Support thread would be good. I'm not going to classes but am doing it online and I find their forums a bit weird.

anniebear · 08/01/2008 14:44

dissapears so quickly

thanks Twiglett!

HI

I am going tomorrow for the first time so am dreading it really. Is the points system easy to understand?

anniebear · 08/01/2008 19:50

the first week I did it, I just went and got ready meals in that had the points on them

by the second week you will have really got your head round it and can start pointing your own meals

But thats just me, I found it easier to do it like that

It isnt difficult, just something new isnt it , maybe take s afew days

anniebear · 08/01/2008 19:52

One thing I woudl highly reccomend is the WW calculator

It is so easy to use, only small

you can keep track of the days points on it and when you are at the shops you just tap in the calories and saturated fats and it tells you how many points is in it

Once you have one you cant be without lol

Hope you have a good first week

ask away if you want to know anymore or get stuck

dyzzidi · 08/01/2008 19:52

I'm planning on doing lots of soups in my slow cooker and freezing them as i am a bit quick to order takeout for tea when i can't be bothered to cook.

Flo23 · 08/01/2008 19:55

Have just signed up to do it online, they are doing a wks free trial and if its not for you then you just cancel at the end of the wk. Day 2 and its fine so far...

Wow, well done Annie, that's brilliant! I love it when REAL people say they have lost weight as never sure if the people in the WW books are fibbing.

First 2 days have been OK. Couldn't find the bit of paper where you work out how many points you need, so ended up having 17.5 when really I am allowed 23. However, been out to Pizza Express and had half a pizza for lunch, but have got the WW Eating Out guide so could pick something lowish points (margherita) and only ate 1/2 of it. Not feeling deprived, yet, but AM realising how much I usually snack during the day...eat baby's leftovers...etc etc. It is doing me good writing it all down!
