mil just come out of surgery

mil has breast cancer and has just come out of surgery after having a masectomy (sp)

its going to be hard not to keep glancing iyswim and just wondered if anyone could advice me on what i could say to her or how i could help her to make her life abit better

sorry to hear this. I haven't been through it, but I think I'd do housework/shopping/cooking etc and ask her if there is anything you can do

Sorry to hear about this. My mum had breast cancer a couple of years ago.

She will be sore for a while so practical help will be useful. Other than that the best thing to do is follow her lead. Let her know that she can talk to you about how she is feeling whenever she wants and that you are there for her.
