I've just overdosed on energy gummies

I recieved a free sample of gummies, which I assumed were just ordinary sweets since I'm not the brightest of people (managed to eat raw chicken last week thinking it was cooked) Confused I had about 12 before realising they were glucose energy gummies. What side effects should I expect?

Just glucose? No ill effects at all unless you are diabetic. It’s just sugar.

Are they caffeine too? If so, you might feel a bit jittery and weird.

Rather than ask here I would speak to a pharmacist or your Dr if you can get a message through. They can answer better

FuckYouDebbie · 08/04/2022 16:31

None.

Unless they've got cannabis in. Have they got cannabis in?

TheWayTheLightFalls · 08/04/2022 16:32

Probably nothing! Look at their caffeine/glucose content - how does it compare to coffee or Coke?

Fuzzyhippo · 08/04/2022 16:44

Just glucose, I probably sounded dramatic but not very clued up on things like this Grin On the pack it only states the ingredients nothing about energy or caffeine content.

And it says in big bold writing to not exceed the daily dose which is one per day, suppose that's why I worried a bit!

Probably not much sleep and a dodgy tummy!

ISpyCobraKai · 08/04/2022 17:04

At the worst diarrhoea I'd think.

enjoyingscience · 08/04/2022 17:06

I think the ‘daily dose’ is marketing shite so you think a sugar sweet is doing anything interesting! Post a pic of the ingredients if you’re still worried.

chesirecat99 · 08/04/2022 17:08

Aren't glucose gummies just gummies? I mean gummies are just sugar and gelatin plus a bit of flavouring Grin

Do you want to list the ingredients?

Are they the type that are meant for diabetics to use when they are hypoglycemic and need a quick glucose boost? That would explain the max dosage. A single gummy couldn't physically contain more glucose than is safe for a healthy person unless it was the size of your head?

TheCaddieisaBaddie · 08/04/2022 17:10

You are going to have oodles of energy so quick, get cleaning the top of the kitchen cupboards before it runs out.

Bagelsandbrie · 08/04/2022 17:15

Maybe a dose of the shits but that’s about it.
