Spleen? Pain

I have this pain on my left side just above my rib.... it's been hurting on and off for a few days and the more I move around the more it aches.

I haven't injured myself..... I've got an appointment with the doctor tomorrow morning but I am freaking out trying to work out what's wrong.
Not sure if it's just in my head but it seems to ache more when I eat.

I am very overweight, I know that has something

Posted too soon.

Something to do with it. But I'm terrified something awful is happening. I've just been standing and washing up nothing major and it aches.

Has anyone had anything similar or have idea of what it might be?

I had the same and it was my stomach apparently, duodenitis & gastritis. I was convinced it was my spleen or pancreas etc so try not to worry til the doctors worry

@LooseSeal2
Thanks for replying.
It feels far to high to be my stomach, it's right up top. But I guess it could be. I think I'm making it worse by fretting to be honest.

@LooseSeal2 I've just had a look at the duodentis. I don't take NSAID's but I am intolerant to gluten and accidentally had some a while ago. Perhaps that's the cause

Mine was really high up too, still is when I get flare ups - I was surprised when consultant said it was probably stomach.

However I also had pain on the other side too , often at the same time. They ended up taking my gallbladder out as they knew I had big stones and since then (touch wood) the pain on either side doesn’t flare much. Might be a coincidence! Consultant was quite insistent that the gallbladder wouldn’t cause pain on the left though.

@LooseSeal2

Gosh. Glad they were able to help. I've just have to ordered some gaviscon on delivery and I'm hoping it'll make a difference if it is stomach related. I've never experienced anything like this before n
