What’s bitten me?

I’ve had this bite for 2 days it started with a small red dot and has grown to this. I’ve tried piriton and hydrocortisone cream but the itching and burning is driving me UP THE WALL. Any help?!

It has a ring around it which is typical of a tick bite, don't want to alarm you, and I might be wrong but it can lead to lyme disease. Get it seen to ASAP.

Bites always go like that on me, and there are loads of midges around at the moment.

I'd keep an eye on the red though, could be a touch of cellulitis. Can you send a photo to your GP? I usually get Fucidin cream from them that really helps with the itching.

Flea? I react to fleas like that. Also where it is is classic for flea bites.

Where would I have got a tick bite from?! Wouldn’t it still be attached?
I live opposite fields but don’t go walking through them!
There are LOTS of creepy crawlies around here. It’s just the itching that’s driving me INSANE - is there anything I can get OTC for this? I don’t want to waste the drs time really
