Breast Clinic Referral

Hi, first time posting. Very scared, I have a breast clinic referral next week. I have what feels like a slightly firmer harder boob on my left side, it weird I can’t really explain it. I went to see the nurse practitioner last week, hoping she’d say she couldn’t feel anything, but admitted she could. She said she’d refer me then adding that it doesn’t mean it’s anything nasty and it’s more to put my mind at rest. She added she can’t see it but the breast clinic will be able to. I then received the 2 weekwait pathway letter that had ‘ suspected breast cancer’ written on it, which I know they do so you just get seen, but hadn’t helped my anxiety. I have no history of breast cancer in my family, my mother in law had it last year, but she’s in her 70s and it was dealt with quickly. My sister in law also had a scare, but it turned out to be fine. I have a 2.5 year old, I was breast feeding 2 years ago. I seem to go from one catostophe to another, my daughter needed heart surgery at 14 weeks, a year later my brother died and I was then diagnosed with a chronic pain condition and stress related conditions, felt like life was getting back to normal and now this. I’m just not sure how much I can take. The nurse said she can move it around which is a good sign.

Sorry your going through this. These scares are awful. I’ve had several. Even surgery for one. Thankfully benign but it’s so stressful. It’s good you went to the doctor and have a referral. I hope all goes well for you now.
