Hypnotherapy for child

Has anyone used hypnotherapy for a child? DD has to have an annual blood test and, as she faints every time, has developed a hatred/fear of the test. I know there are hypnotherapists who specialise in working with children with phobias and wondered if anyone had tried it?

Look up EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). It worked for my daughter & son (bloods) and husband (flying).

That's not something I'd thought of but thank you for the suggestion. I've read that EFT can work but can be limited as it doesn't allow for deviation. I'll do some more research.

My son was very needle phobic. Unfortunately for him he developed crohns disease, which requires many blood tests and needles.

We tried hypnotherapy, but for him it didn't work at all -- I know it can for others, so it maybe worth a try.

The only thing that finally worked for him was an excellent councellor who listened to his fears and helped him through them
