Accutane

I have been on accutane for three weeks, I decided to stop as the side effects were too much for me. I stopped on the 14th March. I've read on Google that you can't start trying for a baby for at least a month and even though I'm not quite ready yet I know even if it's 6 months down the line I'll worry. Does anyone have any experience of having a baby after being on this medication. How long after and if there was any complications x

You'd be best phoning your consultant's secretary and asking. I'm taking it and the consultant recently said it takes six weeks to leave your system but considering how serious it would be if you get pregnant too soon, you should get definitive advice from a professional.

I’d ring the consultant too. I’ve been on it too.

I thought it was six months, although it was a while ago DD was told that. A condition of the prescription was that she had to go on the pill for six months.
