Is this sinusitis?

I’ve got a horrible, burning pain in my nose, pressure in forehead and pain in cheek. Been treating it on and off with Sudafed over the past few weeks and it seems to get better before coming back. Today it’s been horrible and no painkillers are touching it. Never had sinusitis before and I’m not sure if that’s what it is. The NHS website says it can make you feel unwell but it’s just the pain and burning sensation. Will it be worth GP appointment or should I just see if it eventually goes?

Sounds like it, I would be going to the GP at this stage - when I get it and it goes on for 3 to 4 weeks I need an antibiotic to clear it. If you tip your head forward do you feel pressure tipping with it? I also feel really tired with sinusitus.

Try self sinus massage, I looked it up in desperation and it helps me. I also use a Neilmed Sinus Rinse every morning, it helps relieve dryness and they sell a nasal gel too, that is supposed to relieve dryness, (I haven't tried that). I keep a humidifier on too. I don't take decongestants due to blood pressure, but take cetrizine 20 mg daily and use Dymista spray. Try the massage, it is basically just massaging your cheeks and forehead and sides of you nose. And a warm wet cloth over your eyes and partially over your nose may help.

But I'd check with your GP, I forgot to mention my doctor gave me the Neilmed starter kit.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry to hear that other people have similar. But I’ll give the suggestions a try and, if not, will contact my GP.

I find Solpasinus tablets great for relieving the pain.
