Hi all just wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything like this before
Basically few weeks ago I started to notice when I was having bowel movement there was brown mucus and bright red blood mixed in I phoned my GP straight away he seen me felt my stomach and sent me for bloods to check everything I aslo sent stool sample of to see if there was a infection but come back negative I’ve just recovered from covid so I wasn’t able to have my bloods done last week I’m going this week at some point wants my tests is completely negative for covid .
Every morning I wake up I have the worst stomach cramps and I basically need to go the toilet straight away this morning it happened again and I keep passing thick red mucus along with Diarrhea I’ve had diarrhea sorry TMI! For 4 days now but not sure if that is linked to me having covid but I know the covid wouldn’t cause thick red mucus that’s my worry Im calling doctor back tomorrow morning as last week he did say he will send me in to have a camera to see what’s causing the bleeding I did have a baby 12 weeks ago but that was via c section I also have suffered with Hemorrhoids in both my Pg’s but this is getting alarming now as I’ve never had anything like this happen to me before sometimes the mucus can be thick brown or red
Basically just wondering if anyone has had anything like this before ? I can’t stop googling and I know I shouldn’t but my mind is doing over time thinking the worst about everything my stomach constantly makes Loud noises all day long even when I’ve eat and not hungry
Thanks x

Is the blood fresh red ?
Do you still have piles ?
Were you constipated after the birth ?
Do you have any food allergies ?

Lo12345 · 03/04/2022 13:43

@GeneLovesJezebel I don’t have any food allergies
Blood is bright red and sometime dark red
Not sure if I still have them doctor said they could be internal but never examined me which I’ll be asking her to do tomorrow
I was constipated after birth maybe for like 2 days then everything went back to normal x

The fact that it’s bright red means it’s fresh and has come from lower down, so I’d suspect piles or an anal fissure,
The tummy cramps/diarrhoea/blood sounds a bit like diverticulitis.
I’d not panic - easy to say I know - and get on the phone tomorrow.
Please try not to worry, it will probable something simple to treat, try and distract yourself until tomorrow morning.

@GeneLovesJezebel yeah I was thinking diverticulitis too suppose I’ll have wait and see what happened I need a colonoscopy really to find out why I’m bleeding it’s the thick mucus I don’t like and it’s always red or brown thank you for replying back to me x

Did you get any answers?

i had terrible stomach cramps yesterday after a latte and was on toilet a lot. Today I’ve pushed out just a bit of clear mucus and some Streaks of blood in it. I had a intern pile and still think I do as when im
constipated sometimes I wipe a tiny bit of blood.

Hi I haven’t got no answers as of yet as I’m due to have my baby Wednesday they won’t do a colonoscopy with me being pregnant my calpro levels last time were abnormal not sure weather there gonna make me repeat them before sending me for a colonoscopy but my symptoms have now disappeared but I’ll see what happens after I’ve had the baby cos something isn’t right the calprotectin levels shouldn’t be elevated if nothing is wrong and mine were high
see if you can request one from your GP x

Thank you. I have had a stool
sample not long ago and they said it was just mild inflammation likely to be ibs and left me to it

Shauna2866 · 08/01/2023 17:55

You don’t get inflammation with ibs my doctor told me you only get inflammation with chrons / colits I’d ask them again if you can repeat it and ask what the numbers are when you get them back I’m having to do a repeat this all started after having a c section last year and I’m sue another section Wednesday so I’m dreading what’s gonna happen after I’ve had the baby xx
