Just that really... has anybody had gallbladder removal during pregnancy or know of the rules around it?

I had a general anesthetic for something else on Tuesday when I was eighteen weeks five days. They don't like doing it but will if it's necessary and won't wait. They borrowed the obs anasthetist and she was really reassuring about the risks. I also had checkups with obs before and after surgery.

If you are in extreme pain and getting worse they will do it.

My surgery was to put my humerus back in the right place and not having it would have led to damage and a need for surgery further down the line which would have been worse.

I had gallstones from 25 week of pregnancy. I was put on a no fat diet but still was admitted 3 times for acute episodes. managed to hold on until DD was 10 days then went in for removal.

Unlikely if it is elective as it's an unnecessary risk to you both.
