GP or not?

I've developed a chesty cough and sorry for TMI but I'm coughing up some green phlegm. I feel a bit rubbish but I'm at work, no temp, sats fine. Am I right in thinking green phlegm doesn't always mean infection? I'm thinking of seeing how I am over the next few days.

If you're feeling ok and no temp, I'd probably sit it out for a couple of days. If it hasn't gone by Friday or you start feeling worse / develop a temp / crackly breathing / find it hurts to breathe etc, then get checked out.

Take some chesty cough medicine (it helps loosen the phlegm) and make sure you're taking deep breaths every so often.

Correct.

Thanks for the advice. I did end up developing a high temp last night so planned to call the GP today however it was normal when I woke up and I feel better than yesterday so hopefully I'm on the mend.
