For some strange reason I have an ingrown nail on my right thumb since last week and it hurts like a hell.
I never heard of it to happen on hand but I had ingrown toenail twice when I was younger and twice they had to pull/ cut my toenail off, however I learned how to treat it myself with great care and great pedicure kit.
Anyway now it appeared on my thumb and I don’t know what to do.
I bath it 5x in strong salt bath, which always worked for my toenail, It does nothing now for my hand.
It does not seem infected yet, only the nail cuts into the skin and that it’s really sore, I literally can not do anything with my right hand, everything is a such a struggle as very painful.
I spoke to GP today for different matter and I mentioned this and he just laughed and said it will be fine- I can not see how, unless someone cuts the part of the nail out, he said that that very very rarely happens and they don’t treat it anyway.
Any tips what to do please?
Last night the pain woke me up and kept me awake, my whole thumb hurts and anything I touch even very lightly it’s absolutely agony, can’t even bend my thumb.
Normally I would treat it myself, cut the skin around out or push it off the nail, however the skin is so sore and very painful, can’t even touch it now..
Any tips please what to do?
