I've had a lot of gum recession which I understand is natural part of the aging process.
But.. on my bottom teeth it's caused a border of brown/orange stains on the teeth. The whole bottom quarter of each tooth where it emerges from the gum line is brown/orange. A hygienist told me this discolouration is due to gum recession (rather than neglect, failure to brush properly etc).
It looks so unsightly and ruins my smile. Hasn't happened on my top teeth, just the bottom ones.
Can a dentist put this right? I just bottom sections of the teeth to be the same clean colour at the rest of them instead of having this horrible discoloured base to them.
I'm on a budget and can't afford thousands to put this right.
Also, I don't think I need the whole tooth replacing on each one, just the bottom sections if that makes sense?
I've tried descaler, bleaching (it burns and hurts) and water flosser. Nothing makes a difference.
Anyone experienced this? Or any dentist can advise?
