Hi my hair is falling out, not in clumps but when I pull a strand it usually comes out. Bits of hair all over my clothes and house. My bottom is always itchy too, embarrassing I know. I was lacking in iron a few years ago but the iron tablets the doc gave me made me vomit. Trying to get a docs appointment round here is a nightmare

Hi. Didn't want you to go unanswered. That sounds really stressful. Can I ask, are you postpartum? I'm 6 months postpartum and hair has been falling out for the past month or so in a similar way. Normal in told and hopefully temporary. Otherwise could it be stress related? Big hugs xx

I had a similar problem recently. I went for blood tests which I never got any answers from. I started taking over the counter iron tablets. I have taken for the past three months and it has made a big difference.

Thank you for your kind words and advice. I filled out an online consultation for my doctor today, so they should phone back Monday. I’m definitely thinking anemia or thyroid. Only blood tests will tell. I’m 49 so menopause can’t be ruled out either. Stress also over money and kids, the usual day to day life. Thanks xx
