Anyones Hormones causing flu symptoms ALL the time?

For the last 3 years I’ve been struggling with symptoms of the flu, sore throat, achy muscles, I feel like I’m coming down with the flu. There is no pattern, it can last for days/weeks at a time then disappear for an hour/day/days.

It stated 3 years ago, then disappeared completely for 10 months, returned for a few months then disappeared for 2 years. Came back 1 year ago when I was pregnant, and it hasn’t gone since. I’ve had breaks in between longest break was 1 week.

It’s been absolute hell, I struggle to do basic things some days. The last month has been much better but everyday it comes on mildly for a few hours.

I’m convinced it’s my hormones going crazy, it was so bad during pregnancy. I’ve had lots of bloods done, all normal.

I know people get period flu before their period, symptoms sound the same however mine is not monthly it’s all the time.

Anyone has this?? I push myself through it because I have a baby but I’m really struggling thinking this is my life being Unwell all the time

I’m looking into private blood tests but don’t know if they can detect say a progesterone: issue from a blood test as the fluctuate during your cycle

Seems v unlikely.

Have you considered allergies?

@SilverHairedCat yes I did a while ago, but my doctor doesn’t think it is allergy related as it disappeared for 10 months, then 2 years

I can relate to this.

Before my third baby it happened for a week every month before my period and I had it down as severe PMS, after my third baby however I now get it after my period aswell 😐

Do you have any answers yet OP?

Its frustrating, I feel like I'm constantly ill and only feel OK for about one week out of every month.

@TheWitch1187 I’m sorry you’re going through being unwell so often too! Can I ask what symptoms you get?
i still have no answers I’ve been referred to a rheumatologist as doctors don’t have a clue! but the waiting list is horrendous so looking to go private. if I find anything out I will be sure to let you know!
