I am not a troll I promise.

If you have ever cut/slit your wrists how bad are the scars? How have they affected your life? Did you have to have hospital treatment? Did you damage any tendons or anything?

hmm, i did a half hearted attempt when i was 16. Well I was badly depressed, but also knew I didn't really want to do this, just somehow get someone to notice how bad i was feeling.

I didn't do it very deeply, so no scars today.

This is a very provocative thread.

Are you ok, littlelight?

The answers to your question depend very much on the person & situation.

I think what is more important is why you are thinking about it.

There are threads on this if you want to search.

But, in answer to your questiosn:

The scars can be bad. Very bad. Therefore they can affect your life forever. They may need to be treated in hospital. It is possible to do more serious damage than just superficial injuries.

It isn't fun. It isn't pretty. And I wouldn't recommend it. I doubt anyone would. But I am sure you know that.

Hope you are ok.

i really wanted to reply to this thread in more depth but it makes me sick thinking about it even though i did it in the past. i only have one visible scar and it is very faint but then i only really scratched myself rather than cut myself.

my daughter has very very visible scarring, some of them are keloid and people stare at her... a lot
