Are painkillers more effective for some people than for others?

Cos they do bugger all for me. Aspirin and paracetemol I mean.

The result is that I don't use them much and don't tend to think of giving them to the DSs. But perhaps I should dish them out more often. Perhaps they do more for the kids than for me.

Waht do you think?

Paracetamol works very well for me, as does ibuprofen. My ex reckons they don't work, but he is ginger, and apparently ginger people are harder to anaethstatise (SP)

Painkillers dont work for me, and I very rarely give them to kids. DS1 has had several major ops, and has always turned down pain killers from the nurses afterwards, and at home, so I'm guessing he has the same metabolism as me

ALL drugs work very well for me. Too well sometimes.

I also can't drink more than a teaspoon of alcohol without falling over. Short answer: yes!!
