Hi everyone

I am seeking advice for a family member.

They have a stoma after their ileoanal pouch failing I think due to pouchitis and complications, reversal is not possible.

They now have a stoma again but are having significant issues with mucus discharge from the anus which is smelly and unpleasant. Not nice for them or others. Drs have tried steroids etc and there doesn't seem to be another option. They are 66 and want to live a full life after this illness causing signifiant issues in the past

Does anyone know where we might get advice? We have been to St Marks the bowel specialists etc

Do they have access to a stoma nurse or an IBD team at their local hospital? If not I'd ask to be referred to them to get a solution for them
