Sensitive hearing

I've always found loud noise difficult to cope with and avoided it where possible due to it hurting my ears. I've had my ears checked out and been told I just have sensitive hearing.

These days I can mostly dictate where I go and who I'm with so can avoid loud noises. However I enjoy going to the gym and in some classes the music is (to me) overly loud. Yet everyone else seems to love it loud and complains if it's quieter.

I use earplugs, the sort that can purchased from Boots, but they only take the edge off the sound. I'd like to buy some noise cancelling headphones to wear during classes but need them to be as small as possible, lightweight and not fall off when I'm bending over etc.

Any recommendations?

Brilliant, thanks Wouldntitbenicetobeinyourshoes I'll check them out.

I mentioned I wanted noise cancelling headphones but think they're actually for playing music so ignore that! Blush
