I had an endoscopy 18 months ago because I was having the most horrendous heartburn and indigestion. Results showed a slight sliding hiatus hernia which could have been the cause. I’ve been on lansoprazole ever since and have found it brilliant with no issues at all with heart burn and indigestion since.
Last Sunday, I had awful indigestion and it hasn’t stopped since. Every day I’m in pain with it. It’s constant and very uncomfortable. I’ve spoken to the doctors and have been told to double the dosage of lansoprazole. I’ve done this for about 5 days now and still have found no relief. I wonder whether I need to try a new medication. Does anyone have any experience of lansoprazole just stopping working?
