Sezary syndrome

Just wondering if a Dr might be on these boards who might be knowledgeable. I have to preface this by saying that as far as I'm aware, sezary syndrome isn't genetic. However... my mother died of sezary syndrome 15 years ago. She didn't realise she had it for a long time because she thought it was just eczema. Her final years were horrific. Her skin was like one giant red plaque and she could get no relief. I've felt a bit anxious recently. Like my mother, I have very fair skin. It's quite mottled with lots of lumps and bumps, moles and dry, rough patches. I got my moles checked at hospital and was told they're normal. However, sometimes my skin, particularly on my legs, gets unbearably itchy. I scratched one of my legs to ribbons. Just concerned that it's not the start of a disease like sezary.
