I have a new physiotherapist who is good but he want me to do exeries every couple of hour. I thin that is too often and is putting strain on the mucles. I told him and he simply says I hae to do them every 2 hours to recover properly.

When you exercise you are using muscles and putting stain on them. Every 2 hours means they will still be strained whilst you are doing the exercises again and then they will be more strained. Most osteopaths or physios say start gradually and build up. You start by doing them once a day and then twice and then three times a day, not every two hours to begin witith. Not sure what to do about it. My physioi is good in every other respect

I’ve had physio several times for various problems and, while the exercises are built up from very easy to harder ones as I get better at doing them, it’s always been the case that I have to do them 3 or 4 times a day from the first appointment. I think I’d trust the physio in this case.

Yes but 3 or 4 times a day is vastly diferent from every 2 hours. So in an average day I start at 9am and finish at 9pm so that is 7 lots of exercises in a day. Far too frequent. I would prefer to do them once in the morning, once at lunchtime and once in the evening which equates to 3 times a day but my physio said that is not enough to make any difference. Oh well
