Hormal Coil Questions - TMI Altert

I had the Mirana coil fitted over 6 weeks agao.

Fitting was great no pain, very little bleeding and then nothing for two weeks, but since then well it has been pants to say the least.

I have been bleeding on and off, but mostly on ranging from heaving red, to clots and then nothing, to brown and guncky and then to a shart pain and a red floods again.

I do not know what to wear, some days nothing, then a panty liner will be OK, but then I can need a nighttime pad for 15 mins or so.

Is this normal, I have not much pain really, heavy periods normally (anemic and needing transfusions) and it is stating to effect my sex life.

Help please

I think things can be nuts for up to 3 months when you have the mirena put in.
I had it put in to double up with helping my terribly heavy periods and it really did.
Once it had settled, they stopped or I just got a tiny amount of discharge I needed a pantyliner for, no pain. It was brilliant.
It varies for everyone the settling time, I bled constantly for 3 weeks non stop then they dissapeared.
Hang on in there!

I would go back and get it checked asap, you should have it checked after 6 weeks (or is it 3 months) anyway. I had really heavy periods and I did have light bleeding for 6 months but nothing like that and no pain.
