So I’m looking into getting an implant/crown and I’m scared about the pain! For those who have had the procedure done how bad was the pain and how long did it last?. Also how long did it take between having the implant fitted and then the crown fitted. TIA

I assumed this was going to be about contraceptive implants. Grin
Maybe ask MN to edit the title to dental implants so anyone who’s had one will see it & pop on to advise.

I have a dental implant. It was uncomfortable rather than painful although I felt a bit sore and bruised for a few days.
The crown was fitted 12 weeks later.

Hi, To start, placing an implant is a long process, and from my personal experience, a dental implant, in the long run, is a good choice as it is a one-time investment. The tooth will be examined and extracted, and the implant will be surgically placed into your jawbone, making the roots for the missing teeth. The titanium in the implant bonds to your jawbone, preventing them from slipping. The denture is then cemented in place. For a few days, you may experience puffiness. They will look most like your original teeth. I recommend that you consult an experienced dentist and discuss your concerns with them.

Thé tooth was extracted 9 months ago so I’m looking into getting the implant ASAP how long is the process between implant and the crown

If done conservatively and not 'implants in a day' , I would say 2-3 months. You don't load the implant with the crown unless it has osseo-integrated. The implant I got over 10 years ago was extraction, wait 3 months, implant, wait 3 months, crown.

I had my tooth extracted 4 months ago, the implant fitted yesterday and then the crown in another 4 months. I was sedated for the extraction and implant because I'm a wuss when it.comes the dentist. I'm a bit sore today but nothing a couple of paracetamol won't sort out. I'm also on antibiotics for 5 days.
