Burn ointment?

I burned my hand badly about 2 months ago. A plastic spatula melted on my stove and dripped onto my hand when I picked it up, and the plastic got stuck to my skin. The skin went white immediately and the healing process was nasty and painful, I think it got infected at one point.

Even though the skin has completely “healed” on the surface, the layers underneath are still blistered. It’s so tight and still feels red hot sometimes, and the scar can be anything from bright purple to grey depending on the time of day, how much movement I’ve had and whether I’ve been cleaning/washing my hands a lot.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an ointment or topical cream I can use to take the discomfort away and generate healing?

I visited my practice nurse this week who couldn’t do anything for me as the skin has healed.

Thanks!

Maybe ask a pharmacist and see what they say and if they can't help you, go back to your doctors and ask your GP to refer you to a dermatologist.

If the skin has closed it’s going to be a barrier to anything getting through tbh. There are ‘cool’ dressings but not sure how much use it would be on top of the skin.
