Strange feeling in leg

Pancakes1234 · 08/03/2022 22:06

In my right leg, when I'm bent over in the shower washing my calf, I can be rubbing the back of the calf and I can feel a sensation in the top of my leg/bum as if someone is touching there.

Any ideas. I do have a doctors appt booked but it a routine appt so it's about a week away.

Sciatica

Largethighsbadeyes · 08/03/2022 22:09

I don't think it's anything to worry about tbh. Tight muscles, tension, lower back issues would all cause this.

I've had similar (and I have health anxiety so worry about everything!)

NewYearCalavicci · 08/03/2022 22:11

I presume it wasn't the shower curtain ?
Other than that I can't help I'm afraid

I quite often get the feeling of of a drop of cold water hitting my leg it's absolutely no chance it can be it happens when I'm fully dressed in heavy jeans and in the house but it's a very distinctive ( and slightly unnerving) feeling

Sciatica
I suffer from sciatica and if somebody touch me and caused that much pain they will get a whack across the head with a soppy flannel with a brick in it !

Pain?

Pancakes1234 · 08/03/2022 22:30

No there's no pain. It's just the one leg. If I rub my hand down the back of my lower leg, it feels tingly in my bum cheek as if there's something touching it. I assumed it was something to do with the nerve but all the info about Sciatica mentions pain.

Ghost?

Pancakes1234 · 08/03/2022 22:48

Never thought of that but can't rule it out.

Sounds like a nerve. Your sciatic nerve runs down the back of your leg so it's most likely that when you're touching your calf, it's getting transferred up through the nerve.

I have bother with a shoulder and the pain often tracks up by neck and into my jaw. I do have altered sensation, not pain in the top of my arm in the same side.

Everything is interconnected somewhere. I really wouldn't worry.
