Boost immune system

So I seem to have got a couple of colds/sore throats recently - seems my immune system is shot to pieces. Not covid/omicron.

How can I boost it? I already have flu jabs and eat healthily.

I keep reading sleep and exercise. The exercise shouldn't be exhausting just getting your blood moving about.
Oh and no to alcohol. All the usual!

It's more likely that you just haven't had any for 2 years because we had lockdown and wore masks.

Your immune system isn't boostable - it would be crazy if it was!

Neither is it shot to pieces because you have had a couple of sore throats. The usual boring things help - healthy eating, less alcohol, no smoking, exercise, proper sleep, handwashing.

Getting ill is how you boost your immune system, or getting vaccines and such.

There's no pills or powders or apothecary purchases that can do it for you.

Your immune system needs the illness to adapt, to learn, to overcome. It can't fight what it doesn't know because you drink Oil Of Grecian Goat.

Oh and are you already taking supplemental vitamin D or eating a lot of seafood?
If neither and you live in the central or northern parts of UK or don't spend your time outdoors in the southern counties of England with skin exposed you should take a supplement. Even the NHS says this now.

@MaryAndHerNet - I'd drink Oil of Grecian Goat if it worked ha ha!

Yes, I am probably being impatient!

@RobinBlackbird - I do take Vit D but I do need to spend more time outside - it's been 15-20 minutes running recently.

@AnnaMagnani - you're very true re lockdown and wearing masks for 2 years.

I do eat healthily, less alcohol, exercise but need to do more. Proper sleep can be hard (thanks menopause!) but do handwash a lot.
