ECG test. Chest pains on left side.

I’m really worried. For the past 3 or 4 weeks now I’ve been getting pains on my left hand side around my heart area. It goes up to my left shoulder and arm. The pains can come very suddenly and can be quite sharp at times too. I sometimes get heart palpitations too.
I was referred for an ECG 2 weeks ago and my appointment is on Tuesday. I’m scared about what they’ll find and also if I’m about to have a heart attack at any moment Sad.

For context I’m 32. Never had this problem before. Good health apart from being low on folic acid and calcium confirmed through blood tests. Active lifestyle.

Has anyone else had an ECG before and anything was found? What happened next? Are you ok now?

My chest pains have been quite bad today. I am going through a particularly stressful time at the moment so I’m wondering if this is all heightening my symptoms. Any advice?

OP I'd go to A&E now if I were you.
You're suffering from chest pain currently, if you're unsure ring 111 and see what they say.

I went to A&E two weeks ago for what you describe, turns out I had pleurisy.

If you are having chest pains you really should seek help, call 111 but they are likely to tell you to go to A&E.

Another vote for a&e now. They stand a better chance of detecting a heart attack if you go when/soon after you've had chest pains.

I have a had a few ECGs - all but one were done in my GP sure very though, I have never had to wait. I do have a history of breathing problems and arm/chest pains and anytime I have been concerned I have called the GP who has said come in and get an ECG, which the nurse does along with other obs. The only other time I had one was after being admitted to hospital through the out of hours service. None of mine have shown anything at all and we think it may be anxiety related pains, something I was adamant it wasn't for a long time!
