Good morning,I have three children I had a prolapsed bladder after my last child , this was causing alot of pain and problems for me I decided to go for the opp an anterior repair . I did lots of research but I don't think I was ready mentally and physically its a very big operation. I went to hospital at 11.am and had the surgery at 420 pm I came around 730 pm I was in alot of pain so I was given strong pain killer this did help .The next morning I was crying alot I was very very saw , I had a cathter in for 4 weeks because I couldn't go to the loo to pass urine every time the cathter was removed , I manged to go to the toilet my self 4 weeks later at the urology clinic . I had an infection I spent a total of 7 days in hospital due to complications I had the pack removed 48 hours after surgery this was uncomfortable. Im only young im 29 years old so I thought I would bounce back quickly , this has not been the case . I had my opp 29 th November 2021 im 13 weeks in and I'm still extremely saw my left side of my vagina and under my bum cheek is very saw, if I do to much walking im in pain .The surgery has helped with my stomach pain and bach pain and the bulging feeling in the vagina, but I would say I just have new pains I feel 13 weeks on im more limited in my life style than what I was before hand . I Rested in bed for 9 weeks had family taking the kids to school and cleaning up and cooking, I finally went back to work for one day on week 12 it was to much for me im a teaching assistant and I just feel I'm still not ready . Just taking my children to school its a 20 minute walk each time is even to much. I have been discharged at week 6 and told I have healed very well but I'm still ever so saw when I have a period it just hurts so much on the scaring tissue , and sex I haven't even dare try this yet . My prolapse was moderate degree if I could turn back the time I wouldn't have it done unless you really need it .I'm hope it's just early days but 13 weeks on im still ever so saw can any one tell me if this is normal please ? And how was sex after for you ? Thank you
