Should I go to GP?

I've had the attached on my arm for probably a year now I think about it

It's not a spot. It has changed on occasion. Do you think I should see the GP. There aren't any other lumps like it that I'm aware of.

I have something that looks exactly the same that just appeared on forearm maybe 20 years ago. Showed dr when at an appointment for something else and completely not bothered. Can't remember what they called it, something funny, and said in years gone by people would hit them with a bible to try and get rid of them :)

Although i just googled it to try and find the name and now im terrified! Gah!

Epictantrum · 05/03/2022 20:11

It's not a ganglion (the thing you might hit with a bible). Looks like dermatofibroma (nothing to worry about).

hashbrownsandwich · 05/03/2022 20:12

I would do an econsult and send the photo, deffo wouldn't panic.

@gingerbreadtea I did that which is what prompted my question. Frightened myself with Dr Google 🤣

Genuinely never done that before either, just had a moment of stupidity.

Thank you for stopping me panicking. It very much looks like that.

Yes I had one of these. GP said it was skin cancer but it was a dermatofibroma.

I've booked in with the GP for 2 weeks to be safe, but I'm going to stick with it being something safe.
