My son is 15 months and has nearly all his teeth. Just wondering, when should they be checked? I have no idea...

thanks!

I would just take him with you next time you go. He probably won't open his mouth i still have problems with dd nearly 3 but it get's them used to going.

you could go now, but they won't do much, more getting used to the chair and environment really.

dd3 is 15 months and only has 2 teeth!!!

I think as soon as they get to 2 years old. My dentist said doesn't matter if dc won't let them look in their mouth - but gets them used to going, atmosphere etc

Ds1 has been going since he was born - with me - then as he has been older and more inquisative he has sat in the chair before me and we have played dentists him learning to open his mouth etc.

He is now nearly 4 and very happy to go every 6 months and sit in the big chair and open his mouth so the dentist can count his teeth..

whenever you go along take him to watch. They'll just let him sit in the chair first time then start asking him to open his mouth between 2 and 3 just for a quick count up .

yep, just take children with you every time you have a check up and that way they get used to the place and will probably be eager to have their teetch checked just like mummy and get stickers!!! Both mine came to my appts.

Have recollections of ds lying on me and watching dentist checking my teeth

My DD is 14 and a half months has all her teeth and is going next week. She loves people putting things in her mouth though - if only so she can bite them. I fear for the dentist, I really do
