I have been in touch with the Royal Life Saving Society UK who run baby resusciation courses. The wonderful thing is they send someone to train you in the compfort of your own home ! I live in Finchley Central, so the course will be held in this area or nearby. We only have to pay the trainers's fee which is £40 for the two hours + £5 each for an information pack. The minimum number of people on the course has to be 4 and the maximum is 20. The more people on the course, the less we would pay as the £40 fee would get divided between us - i.e if there were 4 mums, we would only have to pay £10 each plus £5 for the course material - a total cost of only £15.
Please let me know whether you are interested asap (before Christmas please !) and also whether you would be able to host the course in your home. I would be able to host it for 4 people, but not for more as I live in a 2-bed flat.
