Since about August last year, I've had recurrent phases of a sharp, stitch-like pain in the left "corner" of my waist. It lasts for days (sometimes more than a week) and seems to coincide with ovulation (ie the day of, and a while after). It's really quite uncomfortable, to the point of waking me up at night sometimes.
The first month it happened, it was accompanied by more generalised abdominal/bladder discomfort. Pee tests came back clear. As it persisted over a couple of cycles, I had an ultrasound scan on bladder and ovaries and they came back clear.
Other possibly relevant info: I do have mild Crohn's disease, but have no symptoms of a flare up. I'm 46 (so maybe perimenopausal?). I have the mirena coil. The first time it happened also coincided with me having taken evening primrose oil for a few weeks.
I'm not sure if it's worth pursuing this further. I've tried asking dr Google, but haven't come up with anything similar sounding.
