Blood in urine

Hi there
I have had recurrent utis in the last year. In Dec I was referred to a urologist who gave me a scan and saw nothing untoward. Tested my wee and found blood in it so made me go back 6 weeks later after antibiotics and all was clear.

He said if I had further problems he may do a cystoscopy. I have since changed health insurance providers so not sure if I will be able to go back to him or if I would have to start again.

Tonight I have pink all over the paper when wiping after a wee. I had some uti symptoms a few days ago but they didn't progress.

I am under a lot of personal stress currently so I am quite anxious. What are the chances of this being something serious rather than just another uti?

Two incidents of blood in the urine should be investigated with a cystoscopy. Blood in the urine can also occur due to dehydration. But it really is better to get it checked out.

I think no one has replied because no one can tell you what it is. 💐 I’m currently undergoing tests for blood in my urine and there are so many things it could be - mine is probably related to the lupus I have affecting my kidneys so they’ve referred me for a kidney biopsy to check for chronic kidney disease. But many people have blood that either isn’t anything to worry about and clears up on its own or is related to random inflammation. It doesn’t have to be serious but it needs investigation to make sure it isn’t.

I had recurrent UTIs and blood in urine for quite a few months and had a cystoscopy and nothing untoward was found; however you still need to follow medical advice. I just wanted to reassure you that it could be nothing.
Like you, at the time I was very stressed and once the stress was resolved, so we're the UTIs. Look after yourself and drink plenty of cranberry juice/water.

Doctor has referred me back to urologist so I guess I will see.

I had blood in my urine when I had kidney stones.

I always have blood in my urine, have had so many test including a cystoscopy which showed nothing, in fact they said I had a very healthy looking bladder. I get UTI’s often, they can be caused by stress and even sex 😬, I find cutting down on sugar and bread helps and I haven’t had one for a couple years now but whenever I get a sample checked it always shows traces of blood so it’s now marked down on my records as ‘normal for me’.

I also had the same. After a cystoscopy I was told I have cystitis cystica. Which is a collection of cysts in my bladder.
Sometimes its like peeing raspberry juice. Mostly its fine.
I am a bit prone to UTI's but that could be due to another issue.

Thank you. This only stated happening about 12 months ago and normally after six but now it is just happening randomly

Cystoscopy showed inflammation spots in bladder. The consultant mentioned intermittent inflammation and endometriosis. Undecided.
He wants to do a biopsy to rule out cancerous cells, which seems a but scary

Hi OP hope youre well. Did the doctor finally get to the bottom of what it is? As ive been having the same symptoms of bleeding after sex and blood with pus in urine. Im due for an cystoscopy waiting for a date but urologist thinks its endometriosis in the bladder.
