Recurring shingles

About 6 months ago I had probably a mild case of shingles (though it bloody hurt at the time!) Just a small rash over my kidney and the pain was only over the hip and area that side, only lasted a week or two and I didn't bother going to the Dr.
It seems to be back again, I have the tell tale achey burning and early ...gastro symptoms and this time I'm feeling it from neck to knee on that side.

Googling has me concerned, I'm 30 with no underlying conditions, overweight but perfectly fit and well, no health concerns at any point. By all accounts it would be unusual for me to get shingles once, let alone twice in 6 months! I will be going to the Dr this time, but has anyone else had multiple bouts of shingles before?

Yes. I have had it three times in the last 2 years. Two episodes were close together so perhaps it didn't really go away. Before this, I also had it in my 20s. I found the Acyclovir prescribed made me feel really sick too, so stopped taking it at the last episode. It's miserable, sorry OP Thanks
