It is most likely something and nothing, a cyst maybe but hand holding from afar.

Hand hold here Thanks
I think if it was anything serious they would have told him there and then x

DH had a scan recently which showed something life threatening, we were told by the consultant that night. Some of his other scans have shown bad news and we have heard within days.

changingjobs · 19/02/2022 13:04

@houserenohelp yes they would have called in a consultant

Kshhuxnxk · 19/02/2022 13:05

@changingjobs no, they absolutely wouldn't. Hopefully it's something simple but what you've said is simply not true.

I'm a radiographer and we absolutely would call in a consultant if we found something

Louisianagumbo · 19/02/2022 13:08

Sometimes when they do the pointing, it's because an area hasn't been scanned right or it's not clear. It doesn't give to be because they found anything suspicious. They just need everything right before it goes to the radiologist or consultant.

I have a blob on my liver. I've had ultrasound under contrast and CT scan. It's a liver blob. Could have had it for years. It isn't cancer because the dye drained (or didn't drain - I can't remember) and I'd be dead by now. Loads and loads of people have liver blobs. Fingers crossed for you. I think if it was something'interesting' they'd have called 8n a consultant.

Thanks everyone. The consultant isn't at our local hospital. Hopefully we will hear soon
