Can anyone offer advice or information as my father is being very secretive about his health?
He Was suffering with severe breathlessness so went to GP on Monday. Was blue lighted straight from GP surgery to hospital. Tests so far show that his heart failure which he has had for 15 years ( although mum and I only found this out yesterday) has led to his liver beginning to fail. This has manifested itself in ascites. Yesterday they drained nearly 10 litres ( yes LITRES) of fluid from his abdomen. He seems to think he will be given water tablets and sent on his merry way. My mum and I have no idea what the future holds and he seems reluctant for health professionals to engage with us other than them telling us what treatment he is having rather than what’s wrong with him.
